Born in Pennsylvania, Doug Cox attended high school in Knoxville, Tennessee before receiving his Bachelors of Science in 1984 from East Tennessee State University. Doug continued his education at The University of Tennessee Law School and was licensed to practice law following his graduation in 1987. He is the father of four and enjoys coaching his children's sport teams. Doug resides in Hixson, Tennessee.
